Questions
What does "synced" mean?
Every song comes with its tempo (BPM) and start offset already measured and set, so the fights land on the beat as soon as you import it. No calibrating by hand.
Are the songs free?
Yes. Every song is free to download for everyone. You don't need an account or a membership.
Where is the ImportedSongs folder?
On Windows: %localappdata%\Pagoda\Saved\ImportedSongs. On Steam Deck and Linux, inside the game's Proton folder: C:/users/steamuser/AppData/Local/Pagoda/Saved/ImportedSongs.
Does it work on Steam Deck?
Yes. Copy the song folders into the ImportedSongs folder inside the game's Proton folder (above), then start the game.
A song isn't showing up in the game.
Each song needs its own folder directly inside ImportedSongs, not inside another folder. Then restart the game.
A song is off-beat.
Press Report on the song and tell us; we fix the sync and post it as fixed on Discord.
Can I find songs by tempo?
Yes. Every song shows its BPM, and Songs has a BPM filter and tempo colours, from slow (blue) to very fast (purple).
Can I ask for a song, or share my own sync?
Yes. Sign in and use Submit a song: suggest a song you want, or upload a sync you made. Free accounts can send 5 of each a day.
Is Dead As Sync official?
No. It's a fan-made community project for Dead as Disco, not made by the game's developers, Brain Jar Games.
